Fall Friday

Down here, in the Southern hemisphere, it’s fall or, as we call it, autumn. So I would like to share the changing colours that I can see from my deck today.

I hope all of you in the Northern Hemisphere are enjoying your spring. My garden seems to have lost track of the seasons – I have a jonquil blooming! (In amongst the weeds – I plan to tackle them today.)

And a few of the back garden:

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

    1. They are miniature guava. I made jelly last year, but don’t have time this year. I plan to pick them tomorrow and put them on the produce table at work where our members can just help themselves. ❀

  2. The only thing I like about autumn is the colours and yours are beautiful. so peaceful. I was going to ask the same thing as Susan about those berries. You have a beautiful garden, no wonder you want to spend time out there. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, Sandy. πŸ‚πŸπŸŒ»πŸŒ¬οΈπŸ’œ

    1. Miniature guava, Carla. I got the garden with the deluded jonquil weeded, but then it began to rain so I was forced inside. Still a little short on my steps for the day, but I am well over my quota of sets of stairs, active zone minutes and
Calories burned for the day. I should feel virtuous but we had pizza and beer for dinner. Oops!β€πŸ“š

      1. I got half my lawn cut when the rain started here. I hope to finish it today. Poor little Jonquil, it wanted to grow to the light. I did have some cheetos yesterday, but I only had some in a bowl, I didn’t eat the whole bag, which I have done in the past. Nothing wrong with pizza and beer once in awhile, I do not want to feel deprived or punished or I won’t stick to it. Enjoy you day. πŸ•πŸΊπŸ˜

      2. Thanks Carla. It’s Sunday here now, and Mother’s Day. Luke called to shout ‘Happy Nana’s Day!’ then ran off giggling, and I have talked to both my boys. Steak, mushrooms and a nice bottle of red wine are lined up for dinner tonight. I really do fancy apple pie and icecream as well, but I know I won’t fit it in comfortably. Have a happy mother’s day and enjoy whatever you are doing. β€πŸ“š

      3. Awww, so cute. I don’t think I will see my kids due to the stay at home order, but I hope they call at least. I have some sewing and reading lined up. I am making cranberry apple chicken and salad for dinner, with a glass of wine. No dessert though. Happy Mother’s/Nana’s Day to you! πŸ’–πŸ‘©β€πŸ¦³πŸΎπŸ·πŸ’

      4. Oh yummy! I didn’t actually see any of mine either but we had good long chats on the phone. I will see Dustin tomorrow though and will collect Luke from daycare after I have been to the accountant (work) and had my hair done (getting rid of my skunk stripe) . We have some ‘Nana’ time before Dustin gets home from work then Dustin and I have mother/son time over dinner and a glass of wine after Luke goes to bed. I so look forward to this every month. ❀

      5. That sounds nice. I talked to both of my kids on the phone. My son invited me to dinner, he was cooking, but I told him I just wanted to relax as school starts this morning and I need my weekends to relax and get things done. Enjoy your Luke time today. πŸ‘¦πŸ’–πŸ·
