Well, Wednesday just slipped right on past me this week. It was my day off as I am working Sunday, and I had plans. . . I was called in to work in the morning to sort out a few issues. There went the morning. I needed groceries, and no need to tell you how crowded the supermarkets are at this time of the year, so that took forever and I still managed to come home without several things on my list, so that means another trip back. Am I alone in detesting doing the supermarket shop?

I just managed to get everything unpacked and put away before it was time to leave for the hospital as I was booked for a two thirty pm lung function test. They were running late. I forgot my book….yes, it was one of those days, because I never go anywhere without my book! My results were dismal. Then I had to go back and see my doctor who discovered that I have yet another infection in my left lung so I’m back on antibiotics and steroids. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

On a lighter note, my husband ventured into my book room the other night looking for something. The shelves are all full and there are piles of books all over the floor. ‘Have you been buying more books?’ he asked. ‘Are you still smoking?’ I enquired. End of conversation πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚β€πŸ“š

Happy Wednesday/Thursday everyone.

  1. I’m so spoiled by Walmart pick up that I might never go into a grocery store again! Who knew someone would do my shopping and bring it to my car and not charge me for the service!?!

Sorry to hear about your lung function results. Are you still recovering from your recent hospitalization?

    1. What a wonderful service Carol! We have something similar at our local supermarket. I tried it once during lockdown but didn’t find the app particularly user friendly. The supermarket in the next town over delivers here, but you have to be home when they deliver. At the moment, it’s all just too hard. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

And yes, I am. I have been diagnosed with bronchiecstasis after twenty years of recurrent bronchitis and pneumonia.

    1. Unfortunately it will never completely go away. I have been diagnosed with bronchiecstasis. It is just wait and see now as to how good my good is going to be. I have to go back for another lung function assessment mid-January.

      1. Twenty years of chronic bronchitis. I hope so too, Carla. I am feeling better in myself and am able to do a little more each day before I get tired, so hopefully that means my lung capacity is increasing.

      2. My DIL has chronic bronchitis and ends up with infections and on antibiotics every year at least once. This sounds like she could be headed in this direction. I am glad you are feeling better each day. It is tough when something is chronic. Hugs Sandy.

      3. Thank you Carla. Your DIL needs to be aware of this…not that anything can currently be done about it. Danger signs are that the bronchitis increases in severity each year and takes longer to abate. I sincerely hope that she doesn’t get it Carla. ❀
